Plantar fasciitis

Is it OK to keep walking with PLANTAR FASCIITIS?

January 14, 20252 min read

While complete rest is not necessary (or even recommended) for most cases of PLANTAR FASCIITIS🦶s, it's crucial to listen to your body and avoid overexerting yourself.

Here are some guidelines to help you safely navigate walking with PLANTAR FASCIITIS🦶:

#1. Start Slow

Begin with short, low-impact walks on flat surfaces.

Avoid hills, uneven terrain, and high-impact activities like running or jumping.

#2. Stretch Before & After

Always stretch your calves and feet for a few minutes before and after walking to warm up and cool down your muscles.

#3. Wear Supportive shoes 👟

Choose walking shoes 👟with excellent arch support, a firm heel counter, and adequate cushioning.

Replace old, worn-out shoes 👟promptly.

#4. Use Orthotics

Consider adding over-the-counter or custom orthotic inserts to provide extra support and redistribute pressure on your heel.

#5. Take Breaks

If you experience pain while walking, take a break and rest.

Apply ice 🧊 to your heel for 15-20 minutes to reduce inflammation.

Remember, the goal is to keep your feet and calves flexible and strong without aggravating your PLANTAR FASCIITIS🦶.

By walking mindfully and taking the proper precautions, you can maintain your mobility and promote healing.

If your pain persists or worsens despite these modifications, be sure to consult your healthcare provider for personalized advice.
