Frozen Shoulder

Does FROZEN SHOULDER hurt all the time?

September 30, 20252 min read

When you're dealing with 🥶 🥶 FROZEN SHOULDER, one of the most common questions you may have is whether the…

…pain is constant

…OR if it comes and goes.

The answer can vary from person to person, but in general, 🥶 🥶 FROZEN SHOULDER pain tends to fluctuate in intensity throughout the condition.

During the early stages of 🥶 FROZEN SHOULDER, known as the 🥶 FREEZING STAGE or "painful" stage, you may experience:

  • Pain that is worse at night or when you try to move your shoulder

  • Aching pain that radiates down your arm

  • Pain that comes and goes, with some days being more uncomfortable than others

  • Pain that gradually increases over time, becoming more constant and severe

As you progress into the FROZEN STAGE, your pain may start to diminish.

However, this is often replaced by increasing STIFFNESS and a limited range of motion.

You may find it difficult to perform everyday tasks like getting dressed or reaching for objects.

Finally, in the THAWING STAGE, your pain continues to decrease, and your shoulder mobility begins to improve.

This stage can last anywhere from 6 months to 2 years, and while the pain may not be constant, you may still experience some discomfort as your shoulder heals.

It's important to remember that everyone experiences 🥶 🥶 FROZEN SHOULDER differently.

Some people may have more constant pain, while others may have pain that comes and goes.
