I’ve been dealing with neck and back pain that has gotten increasingly worse over time. My massage therapist is helpful, but she suggested that I consult with a chiropractor. Dr. DeSalvo has been the perfect choice for me. He performed thorough diagnostic testing and developed a plan to help relieve pain and return function. I’ve only seen him three times, but the relief and overall improvement has been very significant. The office staff is friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this practice.
Over the years I’ve seen nearly 30 different chiropractors. Some were good, some were bad, and a few were great.
After my first appointment with Dr. Doug, I knew he was in the top three for sure. By the time I was leaving my fifth appointment, I knew he was the best. Although I’ve known two or three other chiropractors, who can get to all the same results, there’s a subtlety and effortlessness to Dr. Doug’s technique that is unmatched and after six months, I still have not had a single adjustment that hurt.

I started seeing Dr. DeSalvo nine months ago after suffering chronic neck pain for the past 15 years, and gaining only minimal results from several other chiropractors I saw. I elected an intense 24 session treatment plan over nine weeks which included Spinal Decompression, Shock Wave Therapy and Laser Therapy. I responded quickly, in particular to the Shock Wave Therapy which significantly reduced my pain level. This treatment plan was a big commitment, but so worth it! I'm now once again able to enjoy activities like biking, long hikes and travel without neck pain. Unlike the other chiropractors I've seen who focused on managing the symptoms, Dr. DeSalvo addressed the root of the problem. I have the highest regard for Dr. DeSalvo and his staff, each of whom are kind and caring people.

If I had felt better leaving the office I’d give it a 5….i know it’s not fair to say so early in treatment.
I see Dr. DeSalvo from once a week to once every two weeks and have been doing that for several years. He is consistently able to stabilize my back with disc problems and facet problems and over use injuries. He fixes me up for maximum comfort and flexibility for the next period of time. I don’t see him every week because I have to. I don’t come in screaming in pain. But I see him regularly to improve problems that come up, sure, but also for prevention. I always have some pain or discomfort, and I know I have structural deformities and problems that without this preventive level of care, I sure wouldn’t be able to do what I do at 78 yrs of age! I’ve been an athlete, Ihad four kids. I’ve worked hard in my life as a scholar & NP, and there is damage. But I have avoided surgery for 10 years and have done well with preventive chiropractic care. I highly recommend Dr. DeSalvo. He’s the advanced senior level of chiropractic care, not only because of technique, but because he’s a master diagnostician using his intuitive capacity based on long years of practice and sensitivity as a healer.

I fell and hurt my neck. Dr DeSalvo worked in a combination of manipulative massage and shock therapy tha gave me much relief almost immediately. After 3 treatments my neck injury is 50% improved!!!
Dr. DeSalvo and his team have helped greatly to relieve a painful injury to my upper back. A displaced rib and pinched nerve are well on the way to healing. Highly recommend Dr. DeSalvo!

Brief update. 2 years after original review. I came in recently with a lower back herniated disc and could barely move without pain. After just a couple of appointments, I’ve already noticed real improvement — less stiffness, better mobility, and a lot more confidence in my recovery.
I’m still in the healing process, but the progress so far has been remarkable. Dr. DeSalvo takes the time to explain each step, focuses on long-term healing rather than quick fixes, and tailors every visit to how my back is responding. Based on the care and attention I’ve received, I’m confident I’ll make a full recovery soon. Highly recommend to anyone dealing with disc or back pain.

Dr. DeSalvo and the office staff always provide fantastic care. I leave feeling better every time I go to an appointment, and I’ve noticed significant improvement in my pain and range of motion.
He is as good as it gets. I've seen a few other chiropracticors in the past with no success. I've had some medical issues lately and the medicines caused horrible side effects. I went to the ER a couple times, a lot of Kaiser Dr. visits with no success. Dr. DeSalvo basically cured all my pains. He has great medical knowledge, a lot of tools at his disposal and is easy to talk to. If you are feeling helpless give him a call. Also his staff is really friendly and helpful.
We were in town from Canada and my husband was suffering with a neck and shoulder blade issue. So bad that I went on the hunt for a local chiropractor. Came across dr Desalvo and so thankful we did. He saw us same day as well as squeezed us in the next day on our way out of town. Went above and beyond explaining what the issue was and gave us exercises and a tool to help stretch in the right way. Plus did ultra sonic therapy and adjusted my husbands neck and back. Highly recommend him and only wish we could continue seeing him. Back to BC Canada we go and are thankful for such great care and attention we were given. Thank you again!!
