New patient FAQs

What does the new patient special include?

For $67 you get a consultation, a full examination, and a review of any prior x-ray or MRI imaging you bring with you. It does not include on-site x-ray imaging — if that's clinically indicated we'll discuss it with you first and bill it separately. The offer also doesn't apply to auto-accident, personal-injury or workers'-compensation cases, which are scheduled under our standard personal injury evaluation protocol.

What should I bring to my first visit?

Bring your ID and insurance card (if you're using insurance), and wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Arrive a few minutes early to complete your intake paperwork — or fill it out ahead of time if we send it over.

How long is the first appointment?

Plan for about 45–60 minutes so we have time for a complete consultation, exam, and — when appropriate — your first treatment the same day.

Does a chiropractic adjustment hurt?

For most people, no. Adjustments are gentle and many patients feel relief right away. You may hear a soft "pop" as pressure releases from a joint — that's normal and not painful. We tailor every technique to your comfort and explain what we're doing first.

Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?

No. California is a direct-access state, so you can book with us without a referral from your physician. If your specific insurance plan requires one, we'll help you sort it out.

Is chiropractic care safe?

Yes. Chiropractic is a widely recognized, conservative, drug-free approach for many musculoskeletal conditions. After your exam we'll flag anything outside our scope and refer you to the right provider when that's the better path.

Do you take insurance?

Coverage depends on your specific plan. Send us your insurance details and we'll help you understand your benefits and options before your visit — no surprises.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Chiropractic care is typically an eligible HSA/FSA expense. Contact our office and we'll walk you through the payment options for your care.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on your condition, how long it's been going on, and your goals. After your exam we recommend a specific, time-bound care plan and explain the reasoning — there's no open-ended commitment.
